Price: £8.99

A real bargain from Puglia—this offers so much for the price - A lovely nose of grapes, stone fruits and mandarin, floral and attractive, leads to a ripe palate which is both textural and very refreshing with good acidity. The perfect aperitif, party wine or choice for any day of the week!

Torrevento was set up in 1948 by two brothers Francesco and Domenico Liantonio in north-west Murgia in Puglia. The winery is actually an old monastery and is located in the “Torre del Vento” area (windy Tower), which gives some indication of the weather conditions in this region.

Although the climate is Mediterranean, the landscape is wild with calcareous rocks making up the Murgia highland as far as the sea to Salento. Today the family still follow the same ancient, traditional winemaking methods.
