Clos Floridène is a 31 hectare estate mostly located on the calcareous plateau of Pujols sur Ciron, near Barsac, in the Graves appellation. A few plots are also located on the pebbly terraces of Illats.

Since 1982 Denis and Florence Dubourdieu have supervised the replanting of the vineyard. Its name comes from the first names of its founders: (Denis and Florence Dubourdieu).

Traditional ploughing is performed on the soil of the vineyard and no weed-killer is used.  Organic manures are made with vegetal-based composts.  Bud removal, trellising and leaf removal are carefully done by hand.

The owners are engaged in a process of abandoning the use of chemical synthetic pesticides in all of their vineyards.

Thus "grown like in a garden", within an orderly and well preserved environment, their vines produce early concentrated tasty grapes which have the smoothness and brightness of fresh fruit aromas obtained in their wines.

In an effort to balance ourthe carbon footprint, they manage a forest area which is equal in size to their vineyards.
