Price: £24.99
French Red Merlot

This excellent Malbec is produced by Pascal and Jean-Marc from three parcels of vineyard consisting of the top two soil types of the Cahors appellation. Consisting of 90% Malbec, 5% Merlot and 5% Tannat.

Incredible concentration and depth of fruit and a very firm tannic stucture, certainly a wine to age like a fine claret. Stunning purity of rich fruit and silky tannins, a true iron fist in a velvet glove.

This fine wine won a bronze with Decanter and should be enjoyed with friends and family. Order now with Evines for the best price and Free Delivery!

Reviews

Dense colour, fin aromatic quality, lovely balck fruits concentration with subtle oak influence and very juicy fresh succulent red and black fruit and mulberry with a fine blade of damson freshness on the finish and really nicely judged fine-grained tannins that help keep the wine in good proportion. Not a blockbuster, but a very drinkable moreish style."

Winemaker

We do organic farming. We’ve started in the early nineties by banning all herbicides from the vineyards and managed to get rid of all the chemical spraying agents by 2002. This really improved the quality of our grapes and encouraged us to ask for organic certification in 2009. After three years of conversion, we have made our first certified organic wine."
