Buccia Nera was established in 1916 in Campriano. A first wine cellar was built in 1926. In 1970 Amadio Mancini, the current owner, took the control of the farm bringing greater drive for variety and quality in the wines produced. In 2002 Buccia Nera turned to organic production - natural viticultural practices were already utilised, but without certification, which was granted in this year.

Simultaneously, the realization of a new, bigger and more functional cellar was undertaken, a cellar equipped with the best technology, in order to reach a higher level of quality. Anastasia and Alessia, Amadio's daughters, started to work in the winery bringing their own ideas and innovations with them. In 2010 new projects were embraced: 10 hectares of vineyard were renewed adding new grape varieties, such as Grenache, Malvasia Nera and Sauvignon Blanc, alongside the traditional Sangiovese and Canaiolo.

This Chianti is 100% Sangiovese from 10 year old vines planted at 300m elevation on gravel rich clay soils - fermentation takes place in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to retain the fresh, bright Sangiovese fruit character. A great choice for medium-aged cheeses, traditional Tuscan cuisine and an evening with friends. Why not choose a few bottles and enjoy! Evines will pay postage and packing

Decanter Bronze medal.
