At the summit of a wonderful hill south-west of Montalcino the magnificent Villa of Argiano was built in the Renaissance by the Peccis, a noble family from Siena.

In 1992, it was acquired by the Countess Noemi Marone Cinzano. With over 100 hectares the rows of vines alternating with olive groves and meadows surrounded by luxuriant Mediterranean maquis.

The winemaker, Hans Vinding-Diers as well as being the partner of the Countess also comes from an illustrious winemaking family. He trained in Bordeaux at his father Peter’s estate along with his cousin Peter Sisseck of Dominio de Pingus.

With deep ruby hues, it has a rich fruit aroma of red berries and soft smoky toast. Full-bodied wine, big and rich with ripe notes of raspberry, cinnamon and plum. The inherent sweetness of the Merlot acts as a bridge between the firm earthiness of the Sangiovese grape, the spicy blackcurrant of the Cabernet and the warm red fruit of the Syrah.
